Licensed Professional Counseling
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor with experience in a range of therapeutic settings including private practice (currently), community mental health agencies, behavioral hospitals, and public schools. My style is direct and supportive, and my clients often report that they appreciate my straight-shooting way of communicating. I love working with adult men and women with issues including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, unwanted sexual behavior, pornography addiction, sex and love addiction, codependence, spiritual issues, family of origin issues, work stress, postpartum issues, betrayal trauma, affair recovery, and more. I facilitate one of the few men's sexual addiction recovery groups in the area. I especially enjoy working with other therapists.
I draw from several theories of psychotherapy including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, attachment science, Internal Family Systems, and somatic approaches. In addition, I am qualified to discuss issues from an explicitly Christian perspective if the client wishes.
